Broadrake Bunkbarn - Week 58 30th Nov - 4th Dec 2015

Apologies for the delay in getting this week finally uploaded - lots of significant changes, amidst challenging weather and 3 powercuts in 5 days, and internet loss a couple of times too..

This week sees great progress with the slate flooring with final sealing and clean up.

Slate edging goes into the drying room and the main entrance - tricky to the right side of the doorway where there is a very narrow return, so John has split the slate right down to fit...

dusty footprints from the wash room...it will be good to get that floor in too...

upstairs the wooden flooring continues across to over halfway
Ted makes a start on installing the thumb lock latches - a power cut on Monday afternoon meant he was fitting this one by headtorch!!

flooring now almost across the whole room...
 and into the cupboards
another morning & flooring makes it all the way

steps are made into the small room....will need some visible nosing on these since they match so well they are almost invisible....

after a final clear up of cardboard and a sweep out, the space looks amazing

now ready for the oiling to be done early next week

the staircase will be measured up for glass....the view looking up should remain
and the view looking down will be open, light and airy with the glass balustrading
