Whilst I was away, Dusty came up to help Mike with the fencing on the hill, and they also lowered the single bed beneath the cabin bed.
So this room, with a bunk bed as well, now has all heights of beds...choices!!
It means that this room keeps the great view without a 2nd bunk in the way.
Lots of little jobs progress.....Weather bar on main front door
WI FI goes in - 20Mb - at last I can check emails and call from the barn...
I fitted the intumescent strips to the fire doors - a fiddly process
handles go on...
also upstairs, now all top coated....thank goodness...so much woodwork, lots of paint layers....
Mike builds IKEA shelving unit....not sure just how useful these will be, but they fit here!
he also gets a chance to build the 2nd extendable dining table....
so there are options to seat 6 - 10, possibly 12 on each table
another panel can be added to make it even longer!
At last the door seal goes onto the front door after it's 2nd top coat...
the laundry company left us a floor mat to trial - they get them cleaned every 4 weeks....just need another one twice as big for inside the big door to go over the cobbles...
and the last tiles go over the other basins...
a few duvets are bought for the 2 bedded rooms as a start...laundry contract now set up with Cragdale Laundry in Settle, who will supply 2 sets of bedding linen.
movable rails save fixing anything to anywhere to preserve the sealed walls & floors
a quick shopping trip for some essentials in the kitchen....
and the latest acquisition - these do have to be fixed onto the walls...
barriers back - the lambs increased, but they didn't pay too much attention to the buildings
it was more fun on the high heap of soil....
